Kanye West has reached out to Jay-Z to work out their recent issues, according to a report from TMZ. A source “close to the situation” has suggested that West has requested a “face-to-face” conversation with his longtime friend and collaborator. This follows a public feud the two artists have been involved in since Kanye spoke candidly about their strained relationship at a show on the Saint Pablo tour last October. “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house,” he said. He also directly addressed Beyonce at a November performance: “I was hurt, I went down seven years on behalf of [you]… Beyoncé, I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over “Hotline Bling.” Shortly after the comments, Kanye was hospitalized.

Since then, Jay has addressed Kanye on his 4:44 track “Kill Jay-Z,” rapping “But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?”

In an interview with Rap Radar, Jay revealed that it was Kanye choosing to involve the Carter family that really hurt him. “You can’t bring my kids and my wife into it,” he said. “Kanye’s my little brother. He’s talked about me 100 times. He made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem. And he knows it’s a problem.”

Another source from TMZ claims that the two “seem to be reconciling,” noting that they have a turbulent relationship and have bounced back from similar disagreements in the past. The report also suggests that Jay and Kanye’s feud has nothing to do with their financial dispute which caused Kanye to leave Tidal in July. It seems the tension between the two artists is strictly personal. With that being said, the Tidal dispute is also reportedly in the process of being worked out.
